Contemporary design and traditional Japanese craftsmanship – this is the fundamental approach for Link, a company that produces furoshiki textiles (traditional Japanese wrapping clothes). Founded by Kyoko, Link engages international artists to design furoshiki collection. When the design is ready it is printed using traditional techniques in Fujisawa, Japan, by craftsmen with over 50 years experience in furoshiki production.
Each design is hand printed onto premium Japanese cotton giving a soft feel and elegant drape, then the edges are carefully hand rolled and sewn.
I really like the approach that connects contemporary design and traditional production methods. Link products really stand out with their fresh, modern designs. And the customers can be sure that they receive high quality items that have been carefully crafted with supreme attention to details.
