Tokujin Yoshioka – designer of the year 2012 by Maison & Objet

Designer Tokujin Yoshioka received the Now! Design à Vivre 2012 Creator Of The Year award, which is granted by the organizers of Paris design fair Maison & Objet every year. On this occasion an exhibition was organized, which took place at the Maison & Objet. The presented works are inspired by nature spatial objects resembling irregular crystals.

Tokujin Yoshioka specializes in the space design, product design, furniture design and spatial installations. Initially, he worked with Shiro Kuramata and Issey Miyake, then founded his own studio – Tokujin Yoshioka Design. His clients include: Hermes, Toyota, BMW, KDDI, Swarovski. The designer has a permanent exhibitions at MoMa in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in New York and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein in Germany.
